STATEMENT
My ambition is to capture the beauty of the world as it comes to us in all shades of colors and lights. I focus especially on intimate landscape compositions and interesting plays between lights and shadows. My favorite medium is oil, using a wet-on-wet technique to create harmony, softness, and texture.

BIO
I made the switch from a career in international finance to full-time painting in 2012, having greatly enjoyed painting as a hobby since the early 1990s. In recent years, I took “plein air” workshops with reputed modern American impressionists (John Poon and Larry Moore).
While living in Wilmington, NC, I was regularly juried into the Art Show of the Azalea Festival. My painting “Cape Fear Tranquility” was juried into the 2015 Carolinas Got Art Salon Exhibition held at the Elder Gallery in Charlotte, NC. I have shown and sold works at the River-to-Sea Gallery, Wilmington.
